The Blog

"In the beginning..."
Hi!
Well it has been quite some time since I have been on the Blog I have been extremely busy with meetings, fashions shows, magazines, red carpet events, and sooooo much more. But where would I be without the people who support me like you so I decided to take time out of this hectic schedule to catch everyone up on some things.
I feel so blessed to have had the chance to feature many things about me and the Alexis by Tal Sheyn line in the LA FASHION MAGAZINE!!!! I hope everyone has had the chance to see it, if not I have posted many pictures below. Not only were we given the opportunity to be throughout the entire magazine but we also made the cover and we look stunning if I may say so myself? I enjoy being able to give the fashion world a chance to see my designs, this is something that
I take very personal and I put everything that I possibly can into making it something that every women would love. Just yesterday I had a fabric finder come to my office I can’t even begin to tell you how many samples he brought oh and by the way he is coming back today lol. I felt like a kid in a candy store and immediately my mind begin to think of styles, designs, patterns, so many different colors so many thoughts I can’t wait to show the world what new things I am going to bring them. Stay tuned for that.
Hope everyone is looking forward to the next season of the Real House Wives of Orange County, and that all of you have had the chance to watch the Reunion with the stylish cute pink dress that Alexis wore. You would not believe how many call and email that I have flooded my office about this dress. I designed this dress just for Alexis for the Reunion but not with the intent to produce it because its hand made with Taffeta, Silk Chiffon with Swarovski Crystals needless to say it has become one of the most requested dresses next the white Satin dress that she wore on the show. So yes if anyone is looking for it out there we are doing custom orders, this piece however will not be on the site.
WOW just had the most amazing time at a trunk show that Alexis and I were invited to. This has to be one of the most elegant boutiques “Betinnis” in Orange County that I have gone to in a while. Chadia the owner is wonderful she and her staff made sure that everyone involved felt as if we were at home. The food, music, beverages, and the women of Orange County were simply phenomenal. If anyone is looking for a place to shop with awesome customer service and a great selection of clothing “Alexis by Tal Sheyn” go to Betinnis.
Just had a very productive meeting with Alexis Bellino we went over so many different things for the next season. Last season was phenomenal as we gave the world a chance to see just a small taste of what Alexis by Tal Sheyn had to offer but this year we are going to bring so much more. Alexis will be hosting two fashion shows that will be coming up very soon the first one will be held September 6th 2012 in El Segundo , CA “Fashions Night Out” and the second one will take place in Buffalo New York more details later… the two shows will consist of some of our end of summer collection line that is on SALE!!!! at: www.alexisbytalsheyn.com for 20% to 50% off.
Well I better be going now, my mind is going a hundred miles an hour. Not only am I working on the Alexis by Tal Sheyn line making sure that we are ready for the new season, I am getting back to the Tal Sheyn Signature Designs that will be coming soon with my winter collections. I also have something special coming up that I have been wanting to do for a long time now…..this I will keep a secret for now and maybe just maybe on my next blog I can let everyone in on my next adventure.

March 2012
Thank you for taking the time to look through my website. I hope you like what you see!
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been in the fashion industry for a pretty long time even though I was not always a fashion designer. Believe it or not, when I first began my journey into the crazy world of fashion I was a makeup artist. I had been lucky enough to get the opportunity to travel abroad and work in Europe for Fashion TV Paris and MTV London. During my stay in Europe I was privileged enough to work with many celebrities and constantly attend red carpet events. By this time I had already studied fashion design, but I was not utilizing my education to further my career yet.
After arriving in the United States ten years ago things began to change. I had met the right people and before I knew it I was a makeup artist for L'Oreal and found myself surrounded by an A-List crowd. I also began affiliating myself more with people within the fashion industry even though I wasn't designing yet. After a few years in Los Angeles I started to design extremely high-end customized clothes and costumes for dancers.
Around this time I was commissioned to be a makeup artist at a huge fashion show in Woodley Park. I got very lucky and was offered the opportunity of a lifetime - to design, launch, and feature my own line for a crowd of over 60,000 people! I designed a swimwear and cover-up collection and all of the sudden clients began appearing out of nowhere. More and more people began placing orders and before I knew it, I was designing gowns and elegant dresses for red carpet events.
To meet the demand and get things off the ground I decided to start my business using whatever resources I had. I purchased two sewing machines, hired a professional seamstress, and set up a small studio in my home. It was very tough, but it was also very exciting! I remember when I went shopping for fabrics for the first gown I was designing. The different textures and colors of the fabrics inspired me and my imagination went wild. I started designing garments in my head specifically for those fabrics. It was so exciting and electrifying.
By chance, a well-connected PR sought me out and got me access to the Emmy's and other red carpet events in addition to recommending prestigious clients to me. From that moment on things began happening so fast, it was almost a blur. I was featured in Los Angeles Fashion Week and dressed celebrities for the Emmy's and Grammy's and I finally opened my own studio. I began gaining exposure with different magazines and as my business grew, my clientele grew, and new opportunities were springing up everywhere.
So now here I am today a few years later with my clothes featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County and in high-end boutiques around the world. I love what I do and I do it with a lot of passion. I think my roots in makeup artistry helped me achieve my dream of designing couture to get to where I am today. It's been a crazy ride; I'm excited to see what the rest of this journey will reveal!
I hope all of you come along.
Love,
Tal Sheyn

Tal Sheyn's journey into the world of couture began in Israel when she was a successful up-and-coming make-up artist. After gaining experience in the Israeli fashion and make-up industry, Tal moved to Europe to study Fashion Design. While working for Fashion TV Paris and MTV London Tal began to seriously pursue her dreams of becoming a successful fashion designer. After completing her education and gaining valuable experience Tal moved to Los Angeles, California with the hopes of striking gold and achieving her dreams.
In 2008, after making a name for her-self as a talented make-up artist and stylist working for celebrities such as John Paul Gautier, Versace, and Caroline Herrera, Tal achieved her goal and opened her first fashion studio. Her dreams of designing gowns, cocktail dresses, and other garments that would make women feel vibrantly glamorous and overwhelmingly beautiful was becoming a reality.
Since 2008 Tal's career as a fashion designer has sky rocketed. Her couture is now found in high-end boutiques all over the country and in Europe and has been showcased in various fashion shows during Los Angeles Fashion Week. She has designed elegant evening gowns for celebrities attending the Oscars, Emmys, and Grammys such as Jaimie Hilfiger, Faith Evans, Angela Bassett, Regina Hall, Izabella Miko, Bai Ling, Natasha Alam, Micky Rourke, Emma Roberts, Leyla Millan, and more. Tal's designs have been featured in magazines such as Signature, LA. Direct, Coast, AC, Cosmopolitan, Zink, and Runway Magazine and on television shows like Beverly Hills 90210.
In 2010 Alexis Bellino from The Real Housewives of Orange County from Bravo TV bought one of Tal's tunics at a high-end boutique and immediately fell in love with Tal's designs. After becoming a regular client, Alexis and Tal began collaborating with each other and decided take advantage of an exciting opportunity to launch a line together. After designing a very successful Collection, Tal and Alexis decided to collaborate yet again on another line. The motive behind the Alexis by Tal Sheyn Collection is to design enchanting feminine garments that will make any woman look and feel sexy, beautiful, and alluring.
"How I Met Alexis Bellino"
After opening up my own studio and launching Tal Sheyn Signature Designs I started seeing a lot of growth in my business. Since my area of expertise is high-end couture I sell to many high-end boutiques in the United States. Coincidentally, one of those high-end boutiques just happens to be in Orange County, California. Alexis Bellino from The Real Housewives of Orange County had been one of the boutiques' loyal customers for some time and had purchased one
of my tunic designs from there for the Season 5 Finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
One evening after a very long day I opened up my email and my inbox was flooded with flattering comments and questions about one of my tunic designs and its availability. I was thrilled to have such interest, but how did so many people find out about my designs over night? I could not figure it out until I turned on the television. When I saw Alexis Bellino wearing my tunic on live television the pieces of the puzzle began fitting together.
Alexis was kind enough to mention the tunic in her blog and wrote about how she loved it and my other designs. She also tweeted me expressing interest in meeting in person. After responding to her kind words, Alexis and her husband Jim came down to my studio so we could meet in person. After the initial meeting Alexis became one of my private clients for many months. A short while after that Alexis and I decided it would be a good idea to collaborate together and design a line together for 2011 and for the 6th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The 2011 Collection was so successful and received so much praise that we decided to release another collection for 2012 and for season 7. Ever since then, it's been history. I'm very happy she wore my tunic and I think it just goes to show that anything can happen!
Until next time...
Much Love,
Tal Sheyn
